Pfc Fred Morgan noticed the nearby Ordnance Machine Shop when his platoon, the 3rd,stopped to wait for Calhoung’s force to join them as the company moved back to Topside the morning of 19 February. He went to look in the Ordance Machine Shop and was killed by a Japanes force of over twenty hiding in the structure. F Company lost another good soldier.
