A gifted and great soul in the Guyanese Hindu community, he was adored and loved by many hindus and non-hindus world wide. He was the best in our whole community, none has ever accomplished what he has done yet, with all do respect to other holy men. He was an Iconic figure, a devout hindu philosopher and a skilled orator. The era of Shri Prakash Gossai is over, gone but never forgotten we will miss him dearly
Guru g. Was a great teacher to the children and to everyone else in the mandir. It was a real shock when my family heard that he passed away on that morning. Pt. Prakash Gossai will live on forever in everybody ’s heart but will be missed deeply. May he rest in peace.We extend our deepest sympathy to his whole family and shall his soul live on.
An “Ashes ceremony” was held for the Late Shri Prakash Gossai, today at the De Hoop Mandir, Mahaica, his hometown. President Bharrat Jagdeo, who attended the ceremony, noted that because of his unique personality and admirable qualities, Pandit Gossai made an impact on the lives of everyone who knew him.
Sri Prakash Gossai, lovingly known as Guruji …this is just a small testament of the impact he had on many youth and adults - an entire generation he inspired. Fast forward years later to a devastating June 15th 2009, and you will understand why it is no wonder we mourned and felt his loss so deeply.
