Fall 2010 kicks off the second half of iconic outdoor brand Penfield’s 35th Anniversary celebration. To mark the milestone, Penfield has re-issued the classic Outback vest from their archives and given it a limited-edition upgrade in 100% calfskin leather. First released in the 1970’s, the Outback has become a staple style in Penfield’s Winter collections as it embodies the Penfield design ideal of matching functionality and durability with style and a classic silhouette. The 35th Anniversary vest features a contrast brown leather shoulder yoke, front snap closure, two insulated handwarmer pockets and premium 80/20 goose down insulation. It’s extra warm, ultra luxe and pays homage to Penfield’s rich history. Retailing for $500 USD, the vest hits stores next week and will be available online when the Penfield website re-launches on September 15th, 2010.

The 35th Anniversary Limited Edition Leather Outback Vest is a rugged and opulent retake on the Penfield staple first released in the late 1970s. It is one of the most recognizable pieces and have had its share of spotlight in the streets as it had out in the wild. This time around, the vest is made out of 100% calf leather outer, lined with Nylon and padded with premium 80/20 goose down. Classic details such as front snap closure, shoulder yoke and handwarmer pockets keep the vest classicr–just the way it was loved.
