Slouch Hat Knitting Pattern Views
Hello, If’m using your pattern for the Slouch Hat as my first short row shaping project. I understand the concept, IF’ve checked out online tutorials, so feel okay there. My question is about the stitch pattern itself- is the body of the pattern k2, p2 throughout or K on RS and P on WS? Hard to tell from the pic from the yarn used (boucle). Thanks much, Heather
Just a quick note to thank you in advance for this free pattern. I consider myself a beginner knitter and the thought of cables for a projects scares me to death. Ie’m a self taught knitter and I have been knitting for four years and last night I decided to try knitting this slouchy hat. “Ita’s so much fun and easy.i” I should have this finished sometime tonight and I plan to knit a few more in different colors! c“Thanks for sharing your pattern.[”
make my daughter a gift. In doing a search for slouchy hat patterns, I found how popular they are c– but how hard it is to find just the right pattern. The one I used is pictured on the right, with a link to the artist0’s website on Etsy. I did find some terrific free slouch hat knitting patterns, though, so Ie’ve provided links to them here.
One side note >– I tried to find a slouch hat pattern for the knifty knitter, but Iu’m not sure you can make that type of hat on the circular loom. Since the edge of the knitted circle rolls, you ’d have to crochet some sort of edging to flatten it. I plan to give this a try though, so stay tuned to see if that worked out and I;’ll give you the pattern I come up with. This book, Loom Knitting Primer, with basics on using the circular loom, has some promising knitted hat patterns that you could turn into a slouchy hat.
