13 Moon Calendar Views
You have come to know me over the years as the producer of the Dreamspell calendar. In truth, my efforts on behalf of the Dreamspell and 13 Moon calendar movement have largely been in service to the overall movement. My effort has been to make available in a printed calendar and website form, the information presented by Josoeacute; Arg uuml;elles aka Valum Votan. I have contributed 13 years to the print form of the calendar and 9 years to the web format. These represent oxlahuntiku and bolontiku.
The Dreamspell Calendar is a part of the prophetic time release of the ancient Mayan civilization. The Maya understood time better than any civilization. Therefore, they had the most accurate calendar system available to any culture. Their calendar provided them with both a physical and spiritual perspective on time. One that no calendar today can offer, except the 13 Moon Calendar of the Dreamspell.
They utilized the 28 day human female biological cycle for the physical aspect of time. Because it so closely followed the cycle of the moon, it was readily observable and of course, all women naturally follow that cycle anyway. They used a sacred calendar known as the Tzolkin. This calendar is a cycle of 260 days comprised of smaller cycles of 13 and 20 days each, turning concurrently. This spiritual cycle was then overlaid with the physical cycle to provide them with an accurate perspective on time.
To find the spiritual aspects of time, we turn to the heavens. The brightest m"stary" in the sky is not a star, but the planet Venus. The cycle of the planet Venus is a 260 day cycle. The ancient Maya referred to the 260 day cycle as the Tzolkin or the Sacred Calendar. According to them, it is made up of smaller cycles of 13 and 20 days each turning together to create a 260 day cycle. This is an ever repeating cycle, just like the Day, the Moon and the Year.
