Beast Quest is a series of novels written by a British writer by the name of Adam Blade, and published by Orchard books. The story arc focuses on four characters, Tom, Elenna, and their animal companions, Storm, a male horse, and Silver, a male wolf, in a quest to free the kingdom's guardian beasts from the control of an evil wizard, Malvel.

At the start of the first series of novels the King of Avantia, King Hugo, invites Tom to embark on a quest to free the kingdom from the evil curses placed upon the Beasts that protect it. With his trusted companion, Elenna, Tom travels across Avantia, guided by a magic map. Accompanied by Storm, a jet-black stallion and a faithful wolf named Silver, the two of them face the biggest adventures of their lives. Together they set out to defeat the evil wizard Malvel and free the kingdom. Tom's catchphrase, which is repeated, more than once, in every single Beast Quest book published to date is: While there's blood in my viens! .then whatever his specific mission is after it.

At the back of all the Beast Quest books except The Adventure's Handbook and Annual 2011 they are collectible playing cards. These cards are often used as promotional incentives for collecting the book series and are heavily promoted by Scholastic and other distributors of the novel series. This excludes Sephir the Storm Monster which can be only won in an event.
