Performance Keeping in the ghetto blaster tradition, playing the Lasonic i931 at full volume will probably draw an angry mob to your doorstep. The quality of the Lasonic i931's sound, however, is nothing to brag about. If you're serious about reviving the '80s, or need a convincing prop for your break-dancing crew, the Lasonic i931 is a justifiable investment. Those of you simply looking for a powerful iPod boom box should consider more durable products such as the Altec Lansing iM7 or Blaupunkt Velocity 2Go 6.
[...] I am not sure why it has taken so long for an awesome looking Ghetto Blaster to be created that houses the iPod but hankfully Lasonic are about to release this beasty 15 lbs Ghetto Blaster iPod Dock which will pump out 2 x 15 w and also supports a USB flash drive and SD/MMC memory cards. There are simple iPod boom boxes and plenty of boom box-inspired iPod setups, but I have yet to see anything that even comes close to the Lasonic Ghetto Blaster. The device is 15-pounds and features an iPod dock and support for USB flash drives and SD/MMC memory cards. No word on price or release day, but it's certainly hood fab.
If you're longing for some old school audio gear but still want to be able to play your iTunes lists, check out the 80s chic i931 from Lasonic. An iPhone/Pod dock set into a fabulous ghetto blaster it has a few other mod cons - an SD card slot and a USB port. It also has AM/FM radio on board. The system is capable of blasting out 15 watts per channel through separate woofers and tweeters.
