Tomboy notes is a great tool when you are looking for a scribble pad to write down a few words, but sometimes you need more. What if you are asked to write a report on some topic; a scribble pad is good to jot down a few points but in a digital world you can get a lot more help from web links, various documents, images etc. combined together with the text than with only the latter.
