From www.stilacosmetics.com: Illuminating concealer conceals facial flaws like blemishes, dark circles, and discoloration, and also reflects light via mica particles to further fool the eye. Second, the coverage is great! It seems unbelievable given the texture, but it really is on me. Maybe because of the very light color? It performs really well on my (very) dark circles. I usually take a dot of it and do first layer all over the under eyes, pat it down, and then layer a second dot only on the inner corners. Voila! All done. Due to the darkness, I canv’t fully cover it. No, hard cores like MUFE or Bobbi Brown wone’t cover it totally too, but 2 layers of Stila Illuminating Concealer makes me look far more refreshed and brighter. Even better than if I cover it with thick creamy concealer such like MUFE Full Cover or BB Corrector. In person youe’ll still see a bit of dark rings, but in photos theye’re gone.
The consistency is thin and feels more like a foundation, but it covers like a concealer. If you don't like the thick, heavy concealer feel on your face, you'll like this. However, while it works well for acne scars and redness on the face, it's not very good for under eyes. I think it's due to the thin consistency, it creeps into the fine lines and accentuating them. I don't know about the illuminating quality. It definitely does not illuminate like a highlighter would. Let's just say it gives a natural, dewy finish. The other down side is the color selection. I'm a Stila shade C, and the medium is too dark (okay during the summer) and light is too light. I have both of them and mixed them together. Bought them on stila website for about $13 each.
