A Different Styx ...Although I've enjoyed all of the Styx related albums (including solo projects by the various members) over the years, I feel that his is my least favorite. Although Cyclorama is a good album done by veteran rockers, it definitely lacks the signature artistry of former member, Dennis DeYoung, who was responsible for most of the band's commercial successes. Glen Burtnik's return to the band is welcome, but his songwriting prowess and pop sensibilities are obscurred this time around without the DeYoung leading the group. Edge of the Century (1990) was a much better collaboration, and Brave New World (1996) still retains the grandeur of the original Styx.Submitted by a reviewer (Midwest, USA) Was This Review Helpful?
