Hallo! I done installing win XP on Dell Vostro A840. It was hard to install all drivers bat now it is ok. To help installing audio drivers, I post here. So: HyLyX said (THANKS FOR HELP) to install FIRST sp32646.exe (you can find it on google verry simple). In my situation, didn`t work with sp34386.exe but if you go to device manager(right click on my computer icon - manage) you will see PCI device with exclamatin. Right click on it and update driver. After that you can install the audio driver from up link. Good luck!

Hi, I have a Dell A840 Vostro Laptop with Windows XP SP2 installed on it. I am not able to install the sound drivers provided with the DVD that came with the product. Whenever I try to install the sound driver the installer throws a message: H“Media Device not found …..I”. Need Some concrete resolution / work around. Meanwhile I will try with the sp32646 & sp34386 drivers from Hewlett Packard. If I succeed I will post the steps I took on this forum.
